The title of this article is actually 8 Most Over-used Samples In Hip Hop History, but given that most of the tracks are "old school," you don't hear them over and over again these days like you did back in the day. It's a good overview of the most popular samples, and shows that it wasn't all James Brown (though there was a whole lot of The Hardest Working Man In Show Business).This piece also reminded me how much I used to like De La Soul.
